The NSVI is now in it’s sixth year in Canada.  This year, again,  the program will take place in Rigaud,  in the lovely region of Vaudreuil-Soulanges county.  Rigaud  is a charming city located in the western region of the  Québec province, on the border of Ontario, in Canada.

Everything is under the same roof, plenty of space for those who want to practice between there classes. We will  take residence in the Collège Bourget that is a private collège established in 1850. The building will be offering all kinds of facilities, including a big room for the master classes, a gymnasium, dance studios, rehearsals spaces, a cafeteria, relaxing areas for coffee and discussion, outside spaces and so on.

It is a perfect place to integrate and learn.

It is 6 days of intensive work with two public concerts.

The program includes daily masterclasses with Neil Semer, individual coachings with Peter  Tiefenbach, audition training and an evening of guided listening and discussion of great technique and artistry and also this year, a special class with Kimberly Barber, an international singer and licensed Andover Educator®, teaching Body Mapping for Musicians since 2015.  Each day will start with an hour of group work\warm-up for all participants.   This includes body awareness, alignment, breathing and centering work.

The afternoon of  arrival is Sunday July 4 and the departure is Sunday morning  July 11.

Lodging, meals and classes  will be provided  in the  main building.

Répertoire will be decided in advance in consultation with Neil Semer.  Feel free to propose duets and trios as well.  Make sure to bring two copies of all music.
